Riyadh - Mubasher: Saudi Basic Industries Corporation's (SABIC) will hold its extraordinary general meeting (EGM) on 11 April.

The EGM will discuss the distribution of cash dividends on shareholders at SAR 2 per share, totalling SAR 6 billion and representing 20% of the nominal value for the second half of 2016, according to a bourse filing on Thursday.

The dividends will be distributed on 23 April to the registered shareholders at the end of trades on the EGM’s day.

The meeting will also consider what has been distributed so far for H1-16, adding to mandating the board to distribute interim cash dividends for 2017, the statement said.

SABIC's profits fell 4.95% year-on-year to SAR 17.84 billion in 2016 from SAR 18.77 billion in 2015.
